Camp Thoughts

My highlight was sailing and bivouac building. When we did sailing I was excited because I could steer the boat by myself.

Bivouac building was fun and I found lots of sticks down the creek. This is my first school camp and I hope they rest are all as much fun.

The Tramp

We went on a walk,
heaps of us had a talk.
Mr. Paterson lied !!!
and everyone sighed.
We had our lunch,
it was a big munch.
The karariki were so green,
the cutest birds I have seen.
The walk back made me feel queezy,
but it turned out to be easy.
I was looking forward to a swim,
so I enjoyed getting in.

Camp writing

Cricket was fun,
until Sam got a run.
Our team went boo,
while the other team went wahoo !
The ball went high,
Jhudge said "goodbye !"
He was next in and said ,"we will win!"
As the time flashed,
they got smashed !!

Camp Recount Part 1 by Jonty
I was all alone.Stuck in the middle of the bay, avoiding crazy drivers like Corey,James and Toby.It was mayhem for me....nearly tipping,crashing,...and parts falling out of my boat. The worst was still to come...... and the best.... to be continued......

Our written work about camp

Cullyn's Acrostic Poem

Cullyn the cockle hunter !
Old cockles clinging to life
Kicking cockles in the mud
Lots there for us all
Egging them on to get out
Icey cold water
Nice feed that night
Gee I feel satisfied.

Hannah's Poem
Jumping off the wharf into the water,
just as I yell, "I am the chef's daughter!!"
Splish, splosh, splash, and my daddy has cash.

Mistletoe Bay Camp

Mistletoe Bay Camp was so much fun. We did lot's of fun activities. Here's a few of them-

Marlborough adventurers club- The marlborough adventurers club came along and taught us sailing, kayaking and bush study. Sailing was a class favourite. We had some small, 2 man yachts which were a lot of fun. The wind wasn't very fast at the beginning but after a while the wind picked up. One child-Jonty Brensell-sailed half-way to Picton.
More to come,
